    Chassis tuning help

Ya that shouldn't be a problem with getting down to that weight. I'm not to sure what curb weight was. Wouldn't surprise me if it was 3800.

    Chassis tuning help

Thanks for the replies. Ya I run a dana with 4.56 gear. The tire pressure was at 15lbs on this launch. I have a new set of Hoosiers to try out along with a set of proper size rims. I was running 8 inch rims on a 10.5 tire in the vid and ya it was killing the sidewall. Racing this weekend so ill...

    Chassis tuning help

Ya I'm thinking so. When I launch on foot brake it launches fine and hooks. That makes it so the front end doesnt come up so fast. So maybe ill try tightning the front up on transbrake. Racing this weekend so I will see. Probably going to tighten the rear to. Might be basketballing the tire. I...

    440 Rear Seal problems

Put a rope seal in and it stopped the leak. Had a look at the seal groove and yes it was offset. Quite bad actually. Rope seal cured it and I went racing.

    440 Rear Seal problems

Turns out it still leaks. Engine builder had it on and off the dyno 4 times and still leaking. Any ideas? Eagle crank with knurling, has anyone had luck with rope seals?

    440 Rear Seal problems

Just had a 440ci bracket engine built and had it in and out of the car twice with a rear seal leak. Finally found the issue and turned out to be the eagle crank was out of round on the seal surface (brand new eagle crank) Spec is .006 and mine was .007. Had it machined and ran on the dyno and...

Dont like them as much as b bodies! I see you have a gorgeous 68 charger, what do you have for a power plant and is it 4 link or ladder bar car?

440 std port Victor Head Results

Yes I here ya... The previous build was the same cam and lift with ported 906 12.2:1 comp and the fastest it went was 10.74@127. Good heads but unfortunately they were cracked. So the victors payed off and I should be in the low tens. Less weight as well. Dyno sheet for new combo below

440 std port Victor Head Results

Had the engine on the dyno and made some really good numbers. Made 688 hp@6500rpm and didn't go below 680hp from 6200-7000rpm. Made 620 Ftlbs@5200rpm and didn't go below 600ftlbs from 4600-5800 rpm. Should be enough to get the car moving. Not bad for 446CI.

68 b body headers, what fits? what doesnt?

I use 2 inch hooker supercomps 5209 on my 68 charger 440 and I immediately regret it. Anything with the word hooker on it is going to give you trouble. But I dealt with them and got them to fit. I recently put some victor 440 heads on and the hookers seem to fit on them as well. They take a heck...

440 std port Victor Head Results

Ya with a good converter and dbl adjustable shocks you shouldn't have an issue as long as traction is good. That's a good ET for big ole b-body. I'm hoping to hit the low tens as well with mine this year.
