with all the other bolts/nuts off,do you have Any wiggle room at all?
theres 2 ways to do this.
if any space,sawzall the bolt right between the head and manifold,aim for as flat as you can,if you cant then aim for the manifold.
if no space,fire up the torches!!

save the complete motor,
use the other 440 crank,its gonna have to be rebalanced as will the rods/pistons = have them machine the pilot as well.
this is gonna let you use the Light pistons for the 400,instead of the slugs,which of course is gonna rev Way faster.

i have to ask,since you are going deep into the motor....have you considered just skipping the crank balancing rethinking the piston choice and going with a stroker 451 setup instead?

yes,the 5.9 and the 5.2 magnum v8s balance thru that flexplate and must be kept with the motor.
yes they have ears for old style motor mounts,and you can also buy motor mount brackets for the specific bodies if you want to.
