I want to thank everyone for the replies. Go Mopar! I think I'm down to pulling the box and sending it to Steer & Gear; expensive, but it appears they have a good reputation.
Coupler appears to be tight. As I turn the shaft, it's action is the same as the shaft coming out of the box. I did notice that the shaft coming out of the box moves in and out as I turn it.
When I bought my 69 Road Runner several years ago, it was a project car. The steering wheel had 6-8" of play and it leaked bad. I sent it to a rebuild shop in Mo. After re-installing it, it didn't leak anymore, but I still had the play and it would auto steer far right. I've got the auto...
RamCharger; You were right. I charged the battery up to 13.9 and still no spark from the new coil. Just finished checking the resistance on the coil wire. If I had any hair, I'd pull it out.
In checking on some of the other posts on Electronic Ignition troubleshooting; they talked about having a good battery. Mines about 4 years old; going to check its output at a full charge.
I have mine wired exactly like the diagram; and I still can't get any spark out of the new coil. I think the problem is that the brown wire (start) coming from the ignition isn't 12+ volts; it's only 11.5. The question is, how do I get the start wire voltage bumped up to 12+?
Sorry, I'm late for the game. I got the radiator support conversion piece and a 26" radiator. Plan on installing them next month in my 69 Roadrunner to take care of overheating issues. Does anyone have or know what the part number would be for a fan shroud that would fit the off set radiator...
WTB - Offset 26" fan shroud to fit a 69 Roadrunner. (18" fan) I'm changing out the 22" radiator to a 26" radiator by replacing the right side radiator support. (Conversion Kit). That's why I need it Offset - the left side and fan hole would remain the same but the right side would have about...
I'll have to look at the pump for some numbers, maybe a Chrysler stamp. The car is a 69; but after I got it a couple of years ago I ran the serial # off the engine and it said it was molded in 73. So I don't know if the pump is a 69 or 73. I'm sure it's not a Flowkooler.
