Bob Forbes
Just picked up a 1965 Belvedere 1, 2 door post roller four days before my 66th birthday. Basket case, pretty much complete and rust free. What little body work that was needed is done, car is in epoxy primer.Original white/ red interior.
Plan is to put in on a rotisserie dust the bottom and engine bay, prime and paint white.
Lay some high build primer on it and block it for white. Do interior in red with S/S door panels, use the bench seat and cover it like the D100 buckets.
Unsure of the drive train, leaning to a healthy small block and 904 overdrive (500 series?) and make it a long haul car.
Unless I come across a good 383 or 440, I might be persuaded to go big block.
Has 8 3/4 rear, 489 case, 323 gear with sure grip, rebuilt hub to hub.
