I didn't have a seal when I got the car 5 years ago. after repainting I thought I got all the gaskets needed. we did try it but the painter said it made the scoop sit up slightly higher than the hood. So he left it off/ I did order another from Detroit so going to see on my own
did the scoop sit sup wuth the gasket? when we tried the gasket from Detroit.. it then didn't allow the scoop to go flush with the hood. Something that will settle over time? of=r something else?
