New heads. Not willing to risk it. Ill pressure test them and maybe use them on a street build.

I have another post with the issues I've had sorting this thing out. My guess is it happened during this time. No smoke, no water in the oil and no missing water. Could have been there from the start. I never really looked at them this closely.

Yes they can be repaired. I finally found someone who has seen this. He has welded a couple and they eventually cracked in the same spot. Probably more costly to repair than buy new ones.

According to what I posted, you're correct. Ill have to dig out the time slip. I must be off on his number somewhere. Mine are correct and I definitely lost.

Forgot to add that I believe the problem on the starting line was a cheap replacement switch I had installed. All new switches going in this winter.

This past weekend went out to Rockingham Dragway for the last Modern Street HEMI Shootout race of the year with Mopars at the Rock. In the good air, (+500 DA) made my best pass to date . 9.38@ almost 142. That was Friday at track rental. Saturday was bracket race and qualifying for 9.50 index...

It took almost 2 years to figure it out. It never should have been that difficult...

Very efficient motor. I pulled 8 degrees of timing to try to keep it at 9.50 for index class. I now have 17° total timing and it still ran 9.45... Pretty happy with this setup...
