You're right, but I don't think any other area in the engine compartment is much cooler. I just figured the factory one is mounted there so why not? But if it's a bad idea then I guess I could move it.
Not a whole lot of places to mount it - the side aprons get the heat from the headers...
Just wanted to see what your thoughts are on this installation, whether I should move it or if you think it's okay.
Seems like a great spot for it, and of course it's where the much smaller factory Ignition box was mounted.

This brings up a question: the write ups that I've seen say to use knuckles from a 73-76 A body or 73-74 E body, and give specific dimensions to go by.

There are pressure bleeders on ebay all the time, I got one thinking why not. I've used it enough times that it was worth it. I know of at least three more times I'll need it.

Sure, there are other ways of mounting this, this was just a simple solution using what came with the kit. A spacer that size and the needed length would have been difficult to find - even in my arsenal of garage stuff.
