New guy with 69 charger in California

Beautiful car - has the exact stance I want to achieve with my GTX. Did you use lowering blocks too or just the Hotchkis rear leafs? What about up front, just cranked down t-bars? BZ

    Rims & Tires question

The GTX I recently bought has 17x8, 18x9.5 and even though I dont even have the car in my possession yet, I can tell you they aren't aggressive enough for me. I'm going to do a custom wheel from Rushforth wheels (salt shaker) in 18x9, 19x10 with a 265/295 combo.

    5.7L valve cover options?

That looks great - good job! Mine are chrome so I might try to find a cheap set and try this. Thanks! BZ

    5.7L valve cover options?

Any suggestions for new/custom valve covers for a 5.7L? Preferably looking to clean up the look and give it a more "old school" original HEMI vibe - it's carb'd 5.7L FYI. Obviously, pics/links are a plus... BZ

Yeah, the ramp is a bad idea - notice how bad it blocked the drivers side vision when up? Not to mention how contorted the person in the wheelchair was having to get just to get in the car. Neat in concept and spirit but tough to execute. BZ

Does anyone make the chrylser police wheels?

I have them (but in 15x7, 15x8) on my Charger - got them from Summit and use SS dog dish caps in them:

Centerline vs Weld Wheels pros and cons

If you can swing them, Weld RTS's are hot and they are forged/light to boot but a bit more expensive. I run them in 17's with 295 DR's on my CTS-V Wagon for track duty. BZ

2013 Car Craft show in St. Paul pics.

The black on black '69 GTX with the belt line molding and red pinstripe is sick. Also love the look of the bronze A12 Bee with the hoosier's. The matte black stripe looks money with the vinyl top on the black Charger also. BZ

Guys my car has been done for a few years - and yeah, it's a car you'd want to restore - #'s matching, one-owner, 59k orig miles '69 HEMI charger 4spd (oh, and the best part - it's red ;) ) 2200hrs total resto and 3 1/2yrs I know I haven't been around here long but I've been on dodgecharger.com...

    Street Outlaws

We got the same **** here in Houston, only difference here is your car must be registered/inspected/AC/etc if you want to be on the ladder. Goes back to the age old argument of exactly WTF is a street car. I know I have a 4700lb wagon that would love to rip a hole in that farm trucks ***. BZ

    Gass Monkey

I don't mind Gas Monkey or Richard at all, but I just hope they don't get their hands on any more Mopars any time soon. That Sweptline could have been really awesome with a 5.7 HEMI in it. Their builds do get a little redundant though as mentioned. I prefer Fantom Works and even Counting Cars...

For argument's sake - do y'all know what a professional/high-end rest shop is charging for labor/hr these days? In the Houston/TX area, $75/hr is in the very LOW end of the spectrum. 800-1000hrs is nothing on a total resto - I have more than that in body/paint starting with a rust bucket. BZ
