Thanks for your response on the wheels as I have always been a fan of torque thrusts. I was initially just going with a top end Edelbrock RPM Performer package and decided to also go with Pro-Flo Fuel Injection. The Doug's Headers and a couple of friends that convinced me to use 3" exhaust...
Got it torn apart doing the engine work as when I bought it, it was a poor running 77 440 and during the overhaul I decided to take it to a 512. Just got it back in the car last week. Lot's of wiring yet to do and the new electric fans on a new radiator. Getting some more interior work done...
Working on the 62 Fury...... Also waiting for the 440 to come back from the machine shop as a 512.... Source 440 bottom end with Edelbrock RPM Performer top components and PRO-FLO Fuel injection. But in the meantime lots of things to do including getting new disc's with a power booster all the...
That would be welcome news if I was going all in on this project but it isn't destined to be unit put back together in quite that fashion. In fact, if I don't get busy it isn't going to get put back together period! But nothing I do anymore equates to speed, just slow and steady.... Well that...
I haven't installed the set that I purchased but they sure look like an ideal replacement. My set was for a 1962 Fury. I'm debating on sending them off to be plastic chromed. Anybody tried to get that accomplished?
Terrific response, opinions and advise.... Exactly what I need to proceed and nobody better to ask than the guys on this Forum! Thanks for taking the time and sharing your thoughts.
The 440 that happened to be in my black 62 Fury when I bought it is a 1977. I was told that the car was built with a 318 and that is long gone. Just wondering as I go to the expense of rebuilding an RB and before I sink dough into this current 440 perhaps now it the time to go with a more date...
I just wanted to reach out and thank you peabodyracin for selling me that dash pad! It was as you described and I am very pleased! I responded to our private feed but wanted to have a closure on this listing. Thanks!
I like the looks of it. I apologize for not viewing this offer sooner but just got to thinking about it today. So Let me know for sure how we proceed with this transaction. Thanks, Doug
Those both turned out nice! I bought a new one for that right side but the one over the top of the instrument panel is the one that I'm needing. I might look again at attempting to repair it with the method that you used. Some of the pictures appear that rather than putting upholstery on it...
Hi and I'm looking for a nice condition instrument dash pad for my 1962 Plymouth Fury. Prefer black. Not sure but I would guess that Savoy or Belvedere would also work for me. Thanks!
I got lucky actually on finding those lug nuts... Three places in town were possibilities and I almost didn't go to the last place that had them. Nothing at our Les Schwab store in a custom left handed chrome lug nut and they only had 3 lefties in their stock. The local NAPA store didn't have...
