Theoretically if the spring is flat and travels any farther, the eye to eye gets shorter the shackle will start to move forward and raise the back of the car although not as much as the reverse arch of the spring lower it.
I put automatic transmission fluid on mine every fall, keep the car in a heated garage and it burns off to a dark gray, it looks very natural IMO. Although the painted ones look nice they look, well I guess they look painted.
Ditto on the Radial T/A I gave up on them when Kelsey came out with the retro lettering on a radial, unfortunately I think they only have one size, fortunately it was my size FR70-14 nice white letters
