    I was told by a knowledgeable Mopar person that the 293 represents the 293rd Special Factory Ordered car for Special Paint . Current color of the car. Not sure if it's the original color or not.

    I just purchased a 1972 Dodge Charger SE 440 Magnum. The paint code reads 293 which I believe I was told was car #293 for a Special Factory Ordered Paint. I'm just wondering if anyone can figure it out. Thanks
