    Exhaust manifold removal

Glad that worked out. Post some pics. It’s great when everyone comes together to help out and there is success in the process. A stock replacement hardware kit with all new studs and barrel nuts and you’re good to go. Cliff Ramsdell

    Exhaust manifold removal

To me, looking at the old photos it appears that the fastener is a header bolt and not a nut on the stud. This could explain how it was done to start with. 1/4” drive socket and extension, grind it down to fit. I also second pulling the column out, pretty easy task that clears up a bit of...

How many years b4 u got your car back?

23 years. 1968 Dodge Dart GTS 340/4 speed. My ex decided it didn’t need to live in the garage and how “we” could use the money. Sold it and lost it till 2005 when it popped up on the internet, thank goodness I remember the VIN” 5 years later tracking it down and one of my sons buys it and gives...

    727 Goes into reverse but

Pressure test shows things like low pressure which can effect clutch pack engagement. Line pressure is 60 psi give or take but reverse apply is upwards to 300 and if you have low pressures reverse can still function but you will have issues with the forward gears. I’m of the opinion that the...

    727 Goes into reverse but

Before you tear it apart start with some diagnostics. Get a pressure gauge and a factory service manual and do a pressure test as outlined in the manual before dropping the pan. This could/will point you in a direction. If the car isn't moving and pressures are good drop the pan and inspect. If...

Another added tip, from another old guy, I use a large plastic tray like a lunch tray and lay my stuff out on it when I'm working on a carb or other items with small parts that can roll off the bench. Cliff Ramsdell

Thanks @kiwigtx and everyone else who took the time to wish me a happy birthday. I don’t get on every day and I’m sorry I missed this. Looking for original motor/4spd to my bee WM23V0A107228

@nwcharger can you narrow down “the east coast” It’s 1800 miles from Bar Harbor to Miami. The north east had a very heavy concentration of muscle cars in the day, include New York and New Jersey. This could help people looking for you. Do you have any pictures of the car from now or back in...
