I recently purchased a restored 1969 GTX and when I floor the accelerator at low rpms there is a bog/hesitation. The car has a MSD Pro Billet distributor so I looked at the mechanical advance springs and they are the light silver ones (quick advance). I then checked timing which read 17 degrees...

    Lowering by torsion bars do's & don't'?

Thanks. The car was restored and is definitely lowered in front. The rear has lowering blocks. I think the clearance below the headers is insufficient so to be safe I'd like to bring the front back up closer to stock height.

I'm new to torsion bars and my 1969 GTX is low in the front. Can I adjust the torsion bars to increase height? How is it done? I have the service manual. Thanks!

    Chevy/Pontiac guy adds a Mopar

I wish I did. It was a 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge that my brother bought new. After 4 years I bought it from him. Ran low 12's. It was destroyed when a car traveling about 40 mph crashed into my stopped car. My seatback broke to prone, my car was thrown into opposing traffic, and was T-boned by an...

    Crooked antenna

You were right! The fender ring looks uniform but it is not. The lower flange must be on the inside. I spun it as you suggested and the antenna is now straight. Thanks!

    Crooked antenna

The antenna on my recently purchased GTX was not stock so I bought a reproduction from Classic Industries. However it stands crooked. Has anyone had this problem?
