What do you want for Christmas?

I wish I had more resources to apply to my growing interests in mentoring. And even philanthropy. I don't know if these growing interests are due to growing age? But I bet there is a connection.

    Trick Flow 295 Heads

I have B1s with 2.200 intake. 1.88 exhaust. Was top of the heap 20 years ago. Everyone has easily caught up. With TF taking the lead?

What's the best slick for 4K 11.5 second car

I've had better luck with Hoosier. (as well as lighter on pocket book) Than either Goodyear or M/Ts. I believe Goodyear is probably the best performer, but didn't last as long. JMO

Steve Cropper won't be down for breakfast

Damn. I just watched Blues Brother. One of the buzz was Belushi and Aykroyd were successful with Blues Brothers because they actually had real solid band in support. RIP.

What was the first car you remember falling in love with?

My Sr in high school car. A $200 GTO. 389 4-Speed. I put in a clutch. A rear-end. Upgraded intake and carb. And that car awoke. I terrorized the rich kids late 70s Trans Ams and Cameros. I beat that car into the ground. I've never owned another. But I do catch myself entertaining the idea. My...

It looks like Chris Birdsong has been bitten by the third generation Charger bug!

I too am warming to Gen IIIs. Especially the Charger. I've never owned one. Only Gen II Plymouths. I'm not going out of the way to hunt, but if I ran across? I wouldn't have any buyer's remorse. (Come to think of it. I've never had "Buyer's Remorse." Selling? Every single time!)

    Not the official weather thread.....

Going down towards -10° tonight here in MN. It's alittle early in the winter season, so Temps will rebound in the next few days. Just a little taste of what's coming next month.

Searching for past history of my car , If at all possible

It's going to be tough being a '66. But you gotta try. I gave up on my '69 GTX. It's so out of numbers matching whack that I can't even confirm it's always been a GTX. I bought 8 years ago. From Chevy guys up by the Canadian border. Knowing full well its non numbers matching. They had it for 20...

    Any Pontiac Fans here???

Mopars 1st Pontiacs 2nd It's almost automatic in my search and monitoring efforts. Probably because my Sr in high school car was a '66 GTO. My college cars were 1st a '68 Sport Satellite. Then '69 GTX. (The Mopars were a better build quality in my opinion than the Pontiacs.) And that's always...

    resale red

Red is tricky. A shade off it comes out too loud. Green is another tricky color. A shade off it looks like sadness. Blue or black is a safer bet. JMO

Does a person with a perfect credit rating exist??

It's not just payment history and credit liability. It's also based on future credit customers. The credit bureau's after all are payed by creditors.

What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

We lost our mother in law last night. She was the eldest, but also the last of the "Silent Generation." She was just short of 95. So now it's up to us late Boomers and GenX. This life is going WAY too fast.

WHAT IS YOUR SKILL SET WORTH?

Currently? $55/hr base if employed who pays 1/2 SSA, bulk of health insurance, and overhead. $55/hr x 2 if as subcontractor. $55/hr x3 as general contract. Of course this is VERY fluid depending on circumstances. (And current NEED) But it's at least my measuring stick.
