I have a drop base that already restricts air. To lower the lid with the lower filter will restrict it more.

I believe the third filter port orifice is 1/16" and a 1/4" return line would be used.

Do you think an AMC 3 nipple fuel filter to return fuel to the tank would help?

The air cleaner is dropped down. Any lower and it will interfere with linkage. You can make out the impression in the hood mat.
