Yeah, I was leaning toward the same thing - maybe an issue with the pilot bushing since it seemed to be binding upon re-installation after the clutch. I'm just trying to think in my head how that would cause this problem. The mechanics of it.
I think I'll just pull it and really go through it...
I rebuilt the tranny in early 2000s but I can't have more than a couple thousand miles on the car in that time. Very little run time on the car since restored.
Plus wouldn't that present as a grinding issue? I could be wrong, but that was my thinking.

Somewhere along the way I lost the bulb sockets for my 68 Charger hood turn signals. For the life of me, without buying a whole new set, I cant find just the sockets or pigtails for sale anywhere. I can splice the wires if they are cut - just need the sockets to snap into the light housing on...
Anybody have a tail light gasket laying around from a 68 Charger? Need the larger one that seals the housing, not the small lens ones.
I have one, need at least one more. Used or new - as long as it seals.

I have two carbs for sale. Both in great condition off running vehicles. Neither one has more than 5k miles on it. In fact, you can see fuel in the sight window of the Demon - directly off that Charger in the background.
