My trans always has one drop hanging when it sits for a few days. Well when it sits for a month or longer it has a few drops not from pan gasket, pump seal or dipstick tube.
I did find a small leak thru center of yoke not tail shaft seal which I'm getting ready to do a new 1350 chrome molly...
Good to know. I thought all positive cables were Red. Learned something new after 50 years of Mopars and 70+ cars later ! What is the gauge size going to the starter? Just putting a group 27 Odyssey $500 68 Lbs. figured I would do it right.
You know what after some thought when I had bought the car the guy went to start and it was dragging which the battery was crap. I bet the low voltage had Amps to the moon and could have started ruining contact in the starter. Just does it random but I am doing a group 27 Odyssey and cable...
Tring to find a OE type 65 big block positive battery cable assembly. I have checked with Bill Rolik Enterprises which has the nicest but he said his start at 1966 and said relay might be different.
Checked others that have them like 521 restore parts and they start at 1966 year. Does any one...
Thanks, we have almost no winter here so I drive it often and stays on a tender. Battery might be getting sulfated inside too. It's a glass mat dated 2022 but that doesn't mean crap. I want to put a group 27 glass mat battery to dissolve this mystery ! The battery cable looks home...
The starter relay on my 65 looks fairly new but I think it has a internal issue starting to act up intermittently.
All connections were checked and on starter also. It starts to turn over then starter kicks out partly and or slams in and out real quick while spinning like bad connection!
Does...
Just got some 8 3/4 stuff from Quickperformance.com and they had everything I needed. Going to 1350 U-joints and they had quoted me $1100 for complete New nodular 742 housing with Power Lock type in it and 3.23 gear. I prefer Trutrac but $$$. More than competitive pricing.
Did not even look at the date. The torque I was looking for was on the bushing side. In the LCA 105lbs sounds right, just curious on proper tightening on the bushing nuts?
Nothing in the link but cat converter info. How much should you tighten the nuts on the bushing side? I had bought the prothane ones I think they were called..
Lets beat this horse some more, update what is Currently out there for older "B" cars like my 65 Coronet.
My lowers starting to show wear and some crumbling but still has been holding alignment but I know they are dyeing.
I found after getting my shop to install new strut rods from Firm Feel and...
Thought this discussion would help me make up my mind but still don't know what I want to use. Mine are rubber and dyeing just noticed. I just put Prothane motor mounts and feels like I have a motor plate instead of mounts. Soooo
