Well that didn't work. About an inch short of reconnecting the steering shaft coupler to the steering box. I guess I'll take it apart and see if I can find anything.
Sorry, it's a column shift automatic the only bucket seat with no console/buddy seat Charger I've ever seen. And it is a factory power steering car. Just looking at the column, it doesn't seem to be collapsed, it's never been wrecked, original paint. I got tired of fooling with it last night...
I have dropped/removed many steering columns over the past years, mostly mopar cars and trucks. I had to drop my column in my charger to remove the dash. I noticed that the mounting plate that connects to the dash was too far forward (towards the firewall), but I thought no big deal. Well turns...
I found this screwed under the heater box of my ‘71 Charger. Handmade out of galvanized sheet metal with two copper tubes soldered to it. The tubes were pointed to thee holes in the floor/ firewall. Someone was taking care of this thing, I guess that’s why there’s no rust anywhere!
I bought this ‘71 Charger SE last July from northwest Illinois. I didn’t get a lot of history on it. It was listed on marketplace. It’s kinda weird, doesn’t seem like a ton of miles, absolutely no rust whatsoever. Someone has cleaned and painted the whole underside. Floors are mint even under...
Yes, I have sucked all of the fluid out of the pan and cleaned thoroughly. The last time it was coming from the top somehow, that little tang that hangs down from the tail shaft gets in the way.
My transmission is leaking from a plug above the rear of the pan. I don’t know what this plug is or what it does. I’ve cleaned it thoroughly, sealed it with some silicon, still leaked. Cleaned it again and put some aircraft sealant on it, still leaked. I need help fellas. If it makes any...
I boiled my lawnmower battery in the spring of '23, just to see if it works. I got on it Sunday to chop up some leaves and had to boost it off. So, 2 1/2 summers, not to bad. I boiled it with my big battery charger set to starting amps, 200amps I think. I'll be buying a new one in the spring.
The alternator isn't in line with anything but the compressor and crank pulley. So, I just can't measure for a belt. I'll take the clutch off and investigate, I know there is a bearing in there somewhere.
So, I just bought a 71 Charger S/E. It's a factory 383 2BBL car. The A/C compressor clutch had locked up on it and burned up the belts which were also connected to the alternator. What will be the quickest/easiest way to eliminate the A/C compressor temporarily? I have a 78 440 from a truck that...
I just bought an Advantage Lift 4 post 9000lbs lift. You would not regret it. Everything about it is awesome. Lifts my 2021 Ram 2500 CTD with no problem. Yes it was expensive, everything is right now.
Ah, you could be correct. Thank you @CudaChick1968. I have resorted to painting the strings black so they're are not noticeable. I see you're from Tennessee, so am I, I am just misplaced at the moment, Go Vols.
