I currently have four 1967 Sweptlines. Only one runs and drives which is a D100 with a 400/727 combo. The others are a D200 west coast camper special, a W100 swept side and a W200. I bought the W100 first and bought the D200 and W200 as parts trucks. The ultimate goal is to fix up the W100...
Other than cleaning up the welds and stiffening the steering box area. The only other things I would consider is reinforcing the strut rod holes and replacing the press fit pitman arm attachment flange with a 68-70 u shaped yoke style attachment. Much less flex and better pitman arm...
An easy way to verify is to go to the AMD website and look up outer wheel housings and trunk extensions for both years. If they are the same part number, then your answer is yes. If different part numbers....then they are not interchangeable.
I was contemplating purchasing a 67 4 door to...
I had a small block 727 fresh rebuild but sat dry for about 10 years. Upon installation and filling I had 2 dry cracked seals....the cup seal where the shift/kickdown lever shafts go through, and the pivot pin for one of the levers....back by the tailshaft. Both were easy fixes....otherwise...
You will be fine. Operating pressure is 500 psi for the hose and the factory proof tests it at 1000 psi as a quality check before releasing it. As shown the minimum burst is 2000 psi across the board....and it goes a bit beyond that pressure.
The EZ clip system is a legacy Aeroquip product and has been around for about 25 years. I'm the test lab manager for Danfoss Power Solutions Fluid Conveyance Group and have been involved in the development and testing of this product line since its inception. As far as the robustness of the...
I could make you a heck of a deal on a 3 speed from a 67 satellite that has an aftermarket Hurst Indy floor shifter attached. The shifter is somewhat of a universal kit, but it came out of a running and driving car that the guy converted to a 440/727. If you can find a way to get it to...
Agreed on the radiant floor heat. There is a company on the west coast called BlueRidge Company (blueridgecompany.com) that has great pricing and excellent customer service. They will design the system for you if you provide a floor plan, and then give you a bill of material for everything...
Aerosmith. Had tickets to see them in Cleveland but Tyler fell off the stage in Sturgis and the concert never happened.
Petty. Never had the chance to see him. Was in Cleveland at the R&R hall of fame and as we were cashing out with our memorabilia the cashier said Petty was starting his...
Monday was about 15 degrees out and it fired right up. The electronic ignition box was the culprit....now to figure out the lights. Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
Well he finally had a chance to work on it today. The first thing he tried was to replace the electronic ignition box and the truck fired up immediately at 27 degrees out. It's supposed to be in the teens tomorrow, so he is going to give it a try then before he trusts it to go anywhere...
Haven't tested the battery, but last night it was cranking the motor over quite handily....it must not be a gear reduction starter because it darn near sounded like a chevy engine cranking over....not like the traditional mopar starter.
He has a manual choke setup on it and that is functioning properly. He said he went through the entire ignition system including, plugs, wires, ballast resistor, distributor, voltage regulator and coil....but with todays electronics supplies....no guarantee that one of those components aren't...
