Backspacing, as measured from the mounting face to the outermost lip of the wheel, is 4" if I measured correctly.
Found one at the salvage yard, now looking for its mate. I need a 14x6 steel wheel, with 5 on 4.5" bolt circle, which accepts the later dog dish caps.

This is a scary reminder of what little side impact protection is offered by these older hardtops. Anyone in the passenger seat would have been killed instantly, and even the driver would have received a mouthful of passenger door.
Still doesn't make me want to stop driving a classic hardtop...
