How many people would want to rock this car?

That's what I thought. The Wagon Queen Family Truckster.

    1969 440 HP

Not sure if it helps at all but below is the link to an old for sale ad with a few comments about the CH4B and some pictures of two of my intakes where I tried to get an idea of height for hood clearance. Not even sure that measuring the way I did had any accuracy. I never ran mine, but the...

WTB Need 68 Coronet R/T non-ralley dash inserts

I am still looking for the black plastic dash pieces for a 68 Coronet R/T. One is hockey puck shaped and goes over the glove box, one goes around the radio, and one goes to the left of the dash cluster. The picture below shows part of what I am looking for.

    Any Pinball Fans Out There?

This old Gottleib was in my wife's family for many years. Ended up broken in her father's shop. When he passed I made sure that we got it. Had to spend a bit to get her up and running again but it was well worth it. Almost nobody comes into the shop without playing it. One of my son-in-laws...

    Saw Rat Fink Today

I swear, I looked through all the pictures and the only comment (in my head) was, "wow, you don't see many Pintos these days". Then I scrolled down, saw your comment, and felt less embarrassed about my Ford thoughts.

    Hello from NorCal

68 Coronet R/T. Good guess on location. One road over from Cuttings Wharf Road. I can see vineyards, but I only grow weeds and skeetos.

That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks. Didn't know about the mismatched hanger mounting and likely would've assumed someone tampered with them. I was thinking the six would always be on the driver's side but wasn't sure about one pipe v8's.

California Car exemptions by Jay Leno

I am going to guess that you didn't live in California and then convince your extended family to move to Oklahoma. Maybe you did. As I said, I am guessing. If, by chance, you didn't, then I am going to consider your advice and file it under easier said than done.

I asked the original question to try to see what could be learned about the engine based on only what you could see from outside the car. What about exhaust pipes? Assuming the exhaust is stock, what can be learned from single vs. dual exhausts? Mostly focused on 66 Coronets.

All of the above, plus 5. Family that lives in this state, including three daughters that my wife won't move away from 6. If you remove politics and morons the state itself (climate, outdoor activities, etc.) is hard to beat.

Rebuilding 1968 440. What would you all say is a quote I should expect from the machine shop with the list of items I gave them? Hoping under $5k

Two thoughts/comments… First, since you have a shop in mind, why not ask them. Their work order will likely have a breakdown similar to your list, and likely including things you hadn’t considered that need doing. Second, when similar questions have been brought up in the past, the numbers...

Jeremiah is the reason I stay awake at night thinking if I sell the GTX, and the old ski boat, and recycle all my beer cans, etc. I could buy that 4 speed 66 or the green with white interior car. I damn near sold a kidney to buy the 1st gen Charger he was selling a while back.
