Does anyone have any first hand experience with having exterior trim restored? I'm toying with the idea of having my wheel well trim, drip rail trim and headlight bezels restored, and just looking for a general idea on what I should expect. Also, any recommendation as to a good place to deal...
Looking for a source for new or a good set of used drip rail chrome trim for a 73/74 Satellite or Roadrunner. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Doug
I've been absent for a while, but thought I'd give you all an update on my Satellite/Roadrunner project. The long and short of it is I got ripped off big time. As many of you remember, the car was in amazing original condition when I sent it to a shop in Camden, NY called Saved from the Grave...
1968. I was 5. Dad always had Chevys. While car shopping he kept bringing home cars to show to my mother. He finally brought home a 68 Fury III Sport Suburban wagon. He popped the hood and I was in love! I cleaned that car evey weekend and I still remember every square inch of it.

I'm amazed at how hard it is for me to decide what wheels would be best for my 73 Roadrunner tribute. From the very beginning, I had planned to use good old MoPar rallye wheels. Here's the rub; I don't care for the centers used on 73s, and would like the look of the dark argent centers. Now...
The original color was dark autumn bronze. When the sun hit it just right it would get the great orange color showing through. I wanted to make the orange a lot more prominent. I honestly never saw a color name, just a code, but I'll ask my paint guy.
Thank you all for your kind comments. Body is re-assembled and will sit until old man winter takes a hike, then we'll trailer her home for new running gear, trim and interior. Hope to be ready for Carlisle! Notice the different looks of the paint. Not only do different cameras read the color...
