What/how do you you usually set up your car with the alignment specs? I have had mine aligned a few times and it will go down the road straight, but changing lanes, or curves in the road get a little squirrley. I am taking it back Friday to have them fix it. Everything is new in the suspension...
Put your floors and torsion bar mounts in before welding in the sub-frame connectors in. don't rely only on the frame connectors for your structural support. Make sure that you weld your pans to the frame rails and the inner rockers as closely to the way it was done from the factory. Seamseal...
I would buy a good Mig welder, (not a flux core) if you do not already have one. You can get floor pans, rockers and other sheet metal from ebay relatively cheap. They are not exact reproductions, but they will work good for you. I did that with my 71 Charger. I would bet when you pull your...

This is the conversion kit I used. I used a Summit E-coil, and a stock HEI module i bought from Advance for around $16.00, for a small block chevy. Works great!
I did the HEI conversion. Picked up 2 1/2 MPG, faster starts, Idles better, drives better... Easy to do. Bought a module from Advance, and the conversion bracket from a member here. Highly suggest.
I had the same problem. I bought new 6 leaf springs cause the old ones had a nice reverse arch. They raised the car up so high that I had an 8" gap between the tire and fender. I removed 2 leaves from each side and had to also use the new front spring hangers from Mancini. I now have about < 3"...
Check E-bay or even Amazon for 1/4's. I bought some off of Ebay for 140.00 a side plus the ride. They took some tweaking to get them to fit, but finished product looks good.
I know it's only a few bolts to pull it, but I just painted the car 2 days ago. I want the paint to harden up some more before I go messing with it.
Thanks everyone!
How do I get the tail lights out of the bumper of the 71 Charger. I can get the lower bolts out, but how do I get to the one on top of the housing? Do I need to take the valance and/or the bumper off as well?
Thanks!
Just curious, will a 73-4 rear valance fit on a 71 Charger. I know the holes for the bumperettes are larger than the earlier ones. If the valance will fit I can weld a piece of metal in it to the same size of the 71.
Thanks!
