I don't know them but there are some posts on here that seem to describe them. Those kits don't come with spindles from what I can tell so they must be mounting to your existing factory spindles.
After cutting away the completely ruined section of the Fresh Air duct I used black cloth and contact cement to create patches for the torn section and seal up the tears. For anyone who tries this repair, be advised: The duct is BARELY long enough as it is. If, like me, you lose about 1/2" of...
If you look in my thread called "80 Grit" you'll see how I did it on my '70 Roadrunner using the aftermarket spindles. But the short answer is yes. I am not sure you can buy '73 spindles new, but they'd probably be SO expensive (New Old Stock) as to not be worth it. There are a number of...
Not sure if you are going for Resto, or Restomod or Race car... The spindles DID change on later cars. Those later spindles can be easily fit to your car and allow for a wider set of disc brake options (and bigger bearings, options for dropped spindles, etc.). I did that when I converted from...
Well with the quick response from Monroe (on a California Saturday night with an answer from Australia - Wait. Isn't there a Melbourne, Florida too?) I was able to get to solving the problem. The original problem took about 30 seconds. The Recirculation/Fresh Air door is at about the easiest...
Thanks Monroe! From your first post: It looks like I need the Fresh Air Recirculating Door closed and in the Recirculating position. Interestingly, that would also put the system in the Max AC position, which will probably work for my AC needs as well in most circumstances.
Hey Guys,
I have a 1970 RR with factory air. I am running a Sanden compressor but inside of the car the HVAC unit is totally factory. I don't have the water hoses hooked up for the heater, so I either have AC or "nothing". I don't have any of the vacuum hoses connected in the engine bay and...
I have the Schumacher Tri-Y headers. Clear the starter and fit well w the RPM heads. 1 7/8” primary for street torque. They are actually manufactured by TTI and it shows...
I’ve had great luck w my Wizard radiator. Lately I’ve been trying to stuff electric fans into where they won’t fit so I’ve been on the phone with Scott and Tyler. They’ve each given me their personal cell and helped even on this holiday weekend.
I called yesterday and asked for Scott. Tyler...
Mine is a 77 motorhome block. I used only the block (complete build w custom parts). The late motorhome blocks (i think 76 and later - someone will correct me) have siamese water ports in the block and heads for better cooling. Which is nice...
Here are photos comparable to yours (dropped-base air cleaner on). I'd call it 9 3/4" or 9 7/8". It's probably slightly less given the angle of the tape required by the air cleaner.
This matches your photo (page 6) almost EXACTLY. It should. Same block and intake manifold with 4150 carbs...
Hey Dennis would you mind attaching a photo like the one I've got below for comparison? It's obviously a photo with the air cleaner removed, with the tape measure resting on the "joint" between the intake manifold and the head (second photo), similar to the photo you took, but without the air...
Car is still good, but it just sits so much. I'm thinking of EFI and a little quieter mufflers to maybe make it a little easier to just drive out for a cruise
