    Tanks Inc. is about 20 miles from where I live. The products that i have used from them are top notch. The OP doesn't need to switch tanks if he uses the pump that he mentions in his post. Do you see a downside to the pump that he wants to use?

    I know you said that you don't plan to use the timing feature right away. I did the same thing, then after a while I went ahead and enabled the timing feature. It also worked well. I think you are going to be very happy with the consistent performance and drivability.

    I used Atomic on my 440 about 12 years ago. I then used the same unit on a 512 stroker build and it worked great on that also. It was flawless in its operation. Your plan looks good, love that fuel pump option! Really simplifies things.

    Another intake thread

    My dual snorkel was on my 67 GTX. I'm not sure why yours wouldn't drop with a drop base? Should be able to lower it until the dual snorkel is resting on carb. Of course, that would limit air flow if you went that far. I did run into some inference on the throttle linkage but that was easily fix...

    What didn’t work? I was in the same boat. I insisted on keeping the dual snorkel air cleaner. It took a bunch of tries but I kept ordering different drop bases from Summit until I found a combo that worked. In the end I had to modify the one that I chose but not a big deal. Worked great

    I think you are concerned about the "star head". It is actually a 12 point bolt they work great and work perfectly with a 12 point socket. I bet you already have the socket. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

    I can't specifically answer your question, but I was in the same boat a couple years ago. I just kept ordering different drop bases from Summit until I found a combo that worked. I was able to retain my stock dual snorkel air cleaner after pulling my hair out LOL.
