To tint, or not to tint, that is the question

Very nice truck. Do what you like, tinting looks cool and should help with cabin temp. Maybe a light tint on just do doors and rear, not windshield.

SW Electric Oil Pressure Gage Issue

Ya, I think I may have found the answer over at the "Jalopy Journal" and "Chevelles" site. It looks like there is a few different sending units for the various SW oil pressure gauges. Most common: the 0-80psi gauge and the 0-100psi gauge (which I have). I'll have to check in the morning on...

SW Electric Oil Pressure Gage Issue

If this is the problem, what can I do to correct that? Can the gauge be re-calibrated or do i need a specific electric gauge sending unit?

SW Electric Oil Pressure Gage Issue

No, it's the large "bell" shaped sending unit (not SW branded specific), bought for about $25 from Mancini

My friend was thinking that as well, does that mean I would have to purchase the SW electric sending unit?

SW Electric Oil Pressure Gage Issue

I'm just now putting in my aftermarket SW gauge cluster in my 69 Roadrunner. All is wired up correctly and I had a friend double check as well. When I start the car, oil pressure gage pegs at 100psi. I know the car runs at a steady 33psi on a good mechanical gage that is made just for...

    Electrical issues

Not sure if it's the same as my 69 Roadrunner, but I had a similar issue. I back traced everything and found out the 3 prong connector to the high beam floor switch got loose under carpet. I clipped it back in firmly and all is well. Hope that helps :)

Yes, I used the exact tool AutoZone has in the tool program on my 440 last summer. It comes with different size ends

Nope...As a die hard Lions fan, I still can't get out of bed. I'll join the world again opening day for the Tigers.

You don't borrow the tool. The program is called "Loaner Tool Program". When you walk in on the sales counter there is a big plastic map of tools that are available. What you do is pay for the "loaner tool" full price, then you have 30 days to return it for a full refund. The program is free...

I'm on the Ohio-Michigan line, and need cam bearings installed in a big block

Ya, on my 440 I thought it might be due to possible core shift from the factory. I also never had cam bores lined honed. I assembled the cam and it was very tight to turn. I ended up diagnosing the last bore, and a touch of number 4 where the culprits. So, whether or not I was correct, I...

I did my own in my 440 this past year. It's really not that difficult. You can get the tool from Autozone and maybe others in the "loaner tool" programs. You simply by the rental tool from them, keep the receipt and you have 30 days to return. And yes, the tools and program are for alot of...
