Something happened to the high gear, forward clutch pack.

I have a day 2 type 340 almost ready for assembly in the shop. LD340. Hyd. Roller. Stock 894 heads. Going to try to talk him into a dyno day. I am curious about it.

I dug mine out. Came off a 68 R/T I had years ago. They bolt on the springs at the front with a clamp style across the spring itself.

I think I may have a set. Have not seen them in a while so will have to look for them. Supposed to warm up next week. Will look then.

It is wise to build a triangular bracket from the 2 door hinge areas on the A post to where the door latch mounts. Converts do flex more than hardtop do.

It is not just the hues being hard to match but metallic content/size has a lot to do with it. I have had to so many spray outs from different suppliers, PPG, Axalta ect to get the correct appearance.
