So after another small delay, I finally rec’d the covers. The quality is fantastic and a perfect match to the originals. The wait was frustrating, but since I’m still not done with a few mechanical things and then on to paint, overall it worked out.

Thanks. That was the same conclusion I had reached based on a process of elimination. Will see very soon - miracle of miracles, after 3 and a half years my seat covers from SMS are scheduled to arrive next week.

That is a great tach, I've had one in my '70 D200 truck for years, mounted on the column using the supplied big hose clamps. On my '64 Polara I installed the Charger Specialties in-dash tach (replaces the clock), which looks great but is built poorly and works like crap. No wonder Charger...

Some 64's used a Kelsey-Hayes booster. They work OK, but are not rebuildable, so if they fail they are gone for good. The most powerful option (with the factory power brake backing plate) is the 1st gen Bendix dual diaphragm, off an early Imperial. Bolt in, much more powerful than any other...

Happy Holidays everyone. So, due to my advancing age (and the fact that it's taken SMS 2+ years to make the new seat covers), I've now forgotten where these cup washers are used on the front seats ('64 Polara, power front split bench w/ armrest). Look familiar to anyone? Thanks

Hi, yes I double checked, def 21”. This is a split bench with the middle armrest

These were the markings on the remnants of the surviving original seat covers.

No tag on the front seats, but the rear seat back does have that tag with number 2448114H. The front had been recovered at some point, whereas the back was 100% original

Looking for some good seat springs (zigzag springs) for my 64 Polara front bench bottom cushion. These are 21” long. The ones on the drivers side are sagging and broken. Thanks

Thanks Dave, I suspected many of the trim clips would not be replaceable. Will just mask off those sections. I was also hoping not to pull up the headliner (the original is in great shape) but sounds like that might not be an option
