My diagnosis continues. My rear band is loose. Loose to the extent that could not adjust it to spec. I removed the servo arm/pivot so that I can inspect the band while installed and transmission is in the car.
I am able to use large jaw pliers to pinch the band closed so each end touched...
Thanks. Good reminder that low level causes low pressure. I am certain that it's full.
I am not aware of any reason that the pressure would change with any band adjustment.
My 727 has had a slipping reverse gear for some time. I finally started diagnostics. I get only 180-190 psi when checking the reverse servo line pressure. Service manual indicated 240-270 psi. So I have low pressure, which I assume is consistent with my reverse problem. I also checked the...
Thanks! I had Mark at the gauge doc rebuild the instrument cluster, and ensure the electro luminescent lighting worked. I did the gauge polishing and cleaning. All factory EL setup, with the new bosch (I think) relays.
Thanks for the interest. Yes, steer and gear in Ohio sent me a rebuilt box, then I sent them back my core. Works well. If I had to redo it, I'd go even firmer with the feel. Think I went 1 notch firmer than stock, but might go to firmest option.
Purchased in September 2015. Mostly complete in August 2020. Full tear down, every nut, bolt, piston, clip - amateur restoration.

Looking for 66-67 Dodge Charger/Coronet left front fender. Mine is rust free, but damaged from accident. Looking for something in very good condition. I am located in Connecticut, willing to travel from new Jersey to part of Maine for pickup. Will consider shipping, but not certain how safe...
Okay, thanks for responding. These comments are helpful. I found this other thread that shows the capillary tube parts that goes into the heater box, and also the attaching valve. http://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/threads/67-belvedere-with-factory-ac.79579/
I rechecked my service...
Hi folks,
Can anyone tell me what goes in this square hole (2 screw holes)? My 67 charger manual states that this is a temperature control valve capillary well. But does not show images or describe any part. I am rebuilding my heater box (with AC) and all of my teardown photos show that I...
