Whats funny is this exact thing gets posted like once a month here and on fabo... and for some reason guys hate the idea of an adblock... i am on youtube for about 12 hours a day (work and playing drums at home) and never a single ad.. It's easier to stop the ads than actually post about them :)

you don't have to skip them... with a adblock you never even see them...

I have not seen an ad on youtube in like 8 years.... you are using firefox with the ublock origin extension installed? It pretty much blocks ads everywhere online.... Chrome wont allow ublock origin due to them making money off those ads.. you can install Ublock origin lite in chrome though...

If you are worried i would grab a $25 bore scope and just take a quick look at the cyl to make sure it's not getting eaten up or anything.. just for peace of mind.. I love my bore scope.. one of my favorite tools now :)

Just curious, did you check compression when the motor was first built? and i was always told 10% variation is fine from high to low.. but i'm sure someone else will chime in with more :)
