Your fender and firewall paint looks good so I gather it is just the engine and attachments you wish to clean up. I had a 1970 GTX 440 with the same paint code as yours (burnt orange as I recall). In my case I redid the marked up engine bay paint when the engine was out.
I now have a bigger...
The later posted pics of the base looks like correct contours for my 72 floorboard. I wish I had those pics earlier. My project came with some beautiful after market buckets. Before scrapping the originals I asked the seller if I would have any problems mounting the new ones. He said they will...
Yes I have no faith in extractors based on past experience. I discovered a nasty problem with my 72 charger rebuild. It has the back tranny oil cooling attachment broken off with part within the casing wall. I may try gently with an extractor but doubt it will work and don't wish to break it...
My first new car ever was a 2007 300C red. Loved that car - had 225,000 Kms on it when I bought a 2023 300C with 6.4 L 49Hemi 485 HP Velvet Red Pearl - the last of the 300C line. Love it the best.
I am replacing headers with stock ex manifolds on my 72 Charger 440. I am not sure whether the dipstick should be outside the manifold or between it and the block. When I place it inside it comes very close to a manifold stud Making it difficult to get the nut on the stud. Its orientation seems...
My 72 Charger project has headers but I will replace them with stock manifolds. Dont like the downsides with headers and power is not an issue with this old guy. May be difficult to remove the left header without lifting the engine, or perhaps pulling the dipstick tube if that is practical.
I have replaced the key lock cylinders in my 72 Charger SE. Unfortunately somehow the right door has locked shut and I cannot open it. It appears the lock pull push rod is floppy so not correctly fastened down below. It goes down and up but does not do the job. Does anyone have a drawing that...
I have a 220V Mig at my home shop and of course it does a good job on sheet metal or what have you. However my 72 Charger project is at my summer shop 500 KM west. I had some console brackets- to - hump welding required so I had considered taking my MIG c/w gas bottle west, however I ran across...
When redoing my 72 Charger I had to replace all the rear light sockets due to corrosion. Although the B body Autowire kit did not include the rear lights, I had no problem getting sockets at NAPA.
