The diameter was ok on mine. If I recall correctly it came with two rubber seals for the vc sealing surface. I used only one. it was snug to turn but works well.

I used HiPo 340 manifolds on my 72 with LA360 and right angle filter adapter. Was able to go with a standard size filter. I then swapped to headers without right angle and then 5.9 Magnum. No issues. 2 1/2 exhaust.

My father in law has a 2014 RAM 1500 5.7 with 105k and has never replaced his plugs. No matter how hard I try I cannot talk him into almost any maintenance except oil change (he's 84). I drove his truck the other day and it actually runs great. Go figure. My wife has a 12 Jeep Grand Cherokee...
