I called you about the car last summer and you arranged a time to come look at it on a Sunday morning at your (parents/grandparents) house in Smyrna. I showed up at the arranged time, no one was there and you wouldn't answer calls. Fairly sure I'm not making that up.
Not trying to be an...
Love this car. Randomly talked to a guy at the bar last night with a very similarly styled 66' belvedere post car (white paint, white steel wheels, etc). I saw it parked outside and quickly narrowed down who it had to belong to. He had a 472(?)ci wedge in his; sounded nasty when he drove off...
It really depends on the size and offset rim you are installing the tire on, but it looks like the general opinion is around 255. I'd browse around in the wheel and tire forum - there are plenty of posts concerning this question over there...
I saw a 66-67 B-Body roof on craigslist located in Springfield a couple weeks ago; I think he was asking about $200. Unfortunately, no one, to my knowledge, makes a new replacement roof skin for the the 66-67.
edit: here's the ad; has some surface rust, but maybe worth looking at, depending...
I wish it was mainly pinholes! It's a little more extensive. After discovering how bad the roof really is, I'm just surprised that the floors aren't worse. Only holes are right around where the driver and passengers feet would be.
I think it was another poster that said it could be done for $400, not me. Unless you knew someone, I don't think you could find someone to do it for that little. I too would be a little wary about quality of work when someone was doing it for $400. The guy that I am talking to thinks it will...
I'm probably going to have someone else do it, whether he is doing the skin or entire roof. I'm not experienced with this stuff and I feel this is too critical of a body repair to learn on. Far too great a chance of mangling some stuff and ending up in a worse predicament than I'm in right now...
Well, the vinyl is all the way off the car and I have uncovered a horrific mess; holes everywhere and generally unsalvageable.
I have sourced a '66 parts car that I can get for about $900 (has a bunch of stuff I can use in addition to the rust-free roof). I've also gotten in touch with a...
