Looking for someone that can put a tranny/converter/headers and exhaust in my car. I have the exhaust in but it needs to be redone, and I need new headers with wraps. I have the tranny but need the converter still. I will want the work done around April timeframe.
I have rebuilt my 383 from the ground up motor has been bored decked and the crank was balanced. New camshaft bearings where installed as well as main bearings. New pistons and wrist pins were put on the stock connecting rods. New heads, valves, lifters, cam, push rods, etc.

Ok, durring my resto of my 68 Coronet with the 383, I have come across this piece and have no idea what it is. Any ideas?? Sorry it's sideways, anyway its a plastic ring in two pieces with a small channel running around the outside of it.
Hey all, do yourselves a favor (and I'm sure you already know this) but if you go with long tube headers, put them in BEFORE you drop the motor in. That is a headache I don't ever want to have again.

I have a 4 door 68 Coronet 440, I know the rear fender is a little lower than the two door, I am going to try to put a 8" on the rear. Will it fit??
Ok, here's the deal.
I have a 68 Coronet 440 it has the low compression 383 with the 2 bbl carb. I have purchased the Eddlebrock RPM heads, and have the block sitting on a stand right now. My question is this. How do I bring the compression up to the high compression 383's IE...

I just purchased the Edelbrock Heads, cam, intake, timing set kit, (PN 2086) for my 68 Coronet 383. My question comes with the rocker arm assembly. The kit did not come with one, and I am trying to figure out what is the best kit for my application. You see a ton of different options...
