To cut or not to cut? Maybe Roll?

On lowered trucks I've had in the past, I would wedge a baseball bat between the front fender and tire, drive forward to roll the fender lip. Not sure how that would work with a larger quarter panel that might be more prone to bending. Tires would stll hit occassionaly but would not gouge.

The steering column is out...what can I do?

Meaning the original wires at the Ammeter are disconnected from it? You really need to pull the cluster to see what you have. Im an Ammeter fan, but they do require some maintenance. Also check the bulkhead for overheating as suggested.

The steering column is out...what can I do?

Have you ever had the car running? If so, what did the original Ammeter show? If PO wired another in, likely some wiring changes have been made. Really need to pull cluster to inspect. Can you start it with column and other parts out? Yes.

What level of longevity can one expect from using a bronze tipped fuel pump pushrod in a roller cam application?

I read all the horror stories about the Comp Cam bronze rod and others brass oil pump drive, really makes you wonder. I finally decided on the 440 bronze tip rod and melonized drive gear. Hoping those are good choices. Have not ran the engine yet.

    Spring Forward

It had nothing to do with farmers and kids. Its just another way for the government to get us to argue with each other twice a year. If you cant get past an hour change in the clocks you have bigger issues.

    kids shoveling snow

Funny, STL got hit with close to a foot of snow early Feb. Figured I wouldn't shovel, have a 4wd that'll just run over it. Mid afternoon 2 girls (13 or 14 i guess) knocked on the door. Wanting to shovel my 40x40 driveway. I asked price, they replied $4. Told them that was too cheap, they...

Suddenly Won’t Idle below 1800 rpm???

It doesn't matter if you didn't remove the distributor, the new pickup might index differently causing your timing to be way off. Doublecheck timing.

71 440 engine fires but doesn’t stay running

Unwrap the wires that are resting on the passenger head and look for damage, based on their routing likely to find a burn wire.

71 440 engine fires but doesn’t stay running

Likely the parts replaced had no impact, but moving the wires around during the process got it to run, then the bad connection reappeared. Quit replacing parts, you've got a wiring issue.

    Integrity

I don't believe the original story......Integrity also means you don't put others down to make youself look better. As a family farmer, we and most other farmers understand that each of those professions are needed for us to be successful. Farms today do not run without good relationships with...

Yes, Cut a 2x8 same angle as frame, notched on edge for frame to set in. This allows you to pull glass in squarely.
