Thanks Meep, and you're right, the intake does have a narrow gasket area. The dizzy was tight. I bought a Eddy 600 with mechanical secondaries (rebuilt by local car guru) so I could get it to our local car show. Bought two regular gaskets with a metal plate in between (Edelbrock). The old ones...

So.....7 1/2 months later, my brother-in-law and I got my new dizzy and coil installed. My roadrunner now runs like a Mo Fo!!! :tongue9: Eeee haw!!! I was surprised at the power the '65 383 has. I grabbed scratch in three gears without a problem. My b-I-l's neighbors were probably not to happy...
