My dad called firm feel and asked them on advice on our current steering box before we buy one of theirs. Said to wait until we're at the car and they can walk us through every single thing to do. And if that doesn't work, we're ordering a stage 2 or 3, whatever they recommend.
I have a 72 charger with a 340 and I was wondering about one of these steering boxes. I'm going to adjust the one I have before buying one but if anyone can tell me how the stage 2 or 3 feels driving that would be great. I don't plan on getting the pitman or idler arms from them, just the box.
Found the solution. I've been using a push in breather cap when I need a twist on. I needed the one that vents to the air cleaner and after searching and searching, I found it. If anyone else needs one here's the link to the ebay auction I got mine from. They have 3 left...
As stated, I have a problem with my valve covers. I have mopar performance valve covers. The oil fill cap is on the left for both valve covers. My problem is where I have to have my breather cap for my setup. I need my breather cap on the drivers side in the front(left for the valve cover.) So...
Its nice to know the mpg of all the old cars, but at the same time why do we care what our old B-Body's get? We didn't build them for mpg, we built them to have fun. And we don't need to go driving them every day. That's why I have a camry too. Efficient, modern, and probably the most reliable...
Yeah my 72 started its life as a basic V8 car with a 318, 904 trans, and an 8 1/4 rear. Now it has a 340, 727, and an 8 3/4 with posi. It needs more stopping power now.
What I had planned on doing was mounting everything from the spindle to the brakes from the new yorker on. But i was persuaded to new brakes because what if the brakes were faulty and I crashed because I couldn't stop? Its just precautionary. And I don't really need a whole car for parts anymore...
Thanks. I considered it and I don't want junk yard brakes on a huge car with this much horsepower. I MIGHT be getting a disc brake kit for $935 that's not just the front, but the back as well. A lot of the kits that are just for the front go for that. They aren't a brand name like Wilwood but it...
I've been told 76-82 Cordobas, New Yorkers, Diplomats etc. disc brakes should work. But I was just in my local junk yard and found an 87 New Yorker with a 318 and everything looked the exactly the same underneath as my 72 Charger. The problem is, the junk yards compatibility thing on the...
Guy with a BMW M3(slightly a ricer the way he modded it) saw me rolling up to the stop light and I looked right at him and he looked like he shat himself. The same day a guy in an acura asked me if I wanted to race and I smoked him.
I'd like to make a note. This is NOT a real R/T. It started its life as a little yellow 318 car. The R/T symbol is just there to scare off the ricers and to make it look more badass.
Well I just haven't been on the forums in awhile. I put the engine in last summer and have been working on it since then. And now, its in tip top shape. Starts up every time with out a little gas pedal persuasion. It has a slight oil leak right now, but I think thats because the intake gaskets...
I have a 72 charger I've been restoring for 3 years now with my dad. I put a video of it up on youtube. Just a little revving, nothing special. The smoke was unexpected but gone now. Enjoy my 340 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKWU7vWOj98
