Yeah, I did adjust the rear expanders to have more drag on the drums.
I’ll have to try gravity bleeding.
Fun to hear someone else thinks bleeding brakes sucks.
Hi gang,
Working on a 69 Charger.
Replaced a master cylinder and new front brake lines that were looking iffy.
The brakes are stock front disc / rear drums.
I’ve bled the system 3 times with a quart of brake fluid but still have a soft pedal that will go to the floor. The car stops when...
I’m getting the dash back together on a 69 Charger after re-wiring, replacing the instrument panel, AC box and the master cylinder.
I’m being held up by a seemingly simple job. I can’t get the flexible duct to engage the outlet. I’ve tried from below without removing the outlet and the other way...
Finishing up my dash rebuild project. New wiring harness, instrument panel, AC box and radio/speakers are all back installed. I’m still chasing a few last gremlins.
I’ve got a bug with the wiring for the panel lights and I think it’s related to the SE special light package. It seems to be wired...
I went with the two port system as per the service manual.
The only thing left is the throttle cable attachment to the edelbrock carburetor and the fuse box tie-in.
I have a cable. The bracket I have may or may not be correct. Does anyone have a photo that clearly shows the bracket hookup for...
Hey y’all,
I’m in the process of installing a carter electric fuel pump to overcome hot startup problems. The pump isn’t intended to run continuously.
I’ve installed the wiring to the relay located under the package tray. I have the switch wired to the signal side and will take power from the...
Had fun today. I think I’ve gone as far as I’m gonna go. Now to get it all back together.
New instruments, new wiring harness, rebuilt switches, new Rebuilt AC box. Rebuilt heater AC control panel. New brake booster/master. New electric aux fuel pump.
Trying to get the original AC working...
Shim it!. I had to put shims in that gap as well. Maybe split the gap and shim 1/8” on each side. Fit the chin panel and see if it helps. New panels aren’t perfect. The gap between the inner and out fenders isn’t closed that I’ve seen. You run across all sorts of weird stuff redoing these old...
So I discovered all the under dash wiring and switches for the cruise control unit seem to still to be present, so good news.
My question now is why the cruise control unit that came with the car only has provision for one vacuum line when the diagram shows two lines and the brake cutoff switch...
