Well that helps a lot, thanks.
Also thanks for highlighting their tricks/scams.
Some more questions:
Can you only inspect the cars on auction day or already a day, week etc. prior?
Can i spontaneously decide that i want to bid on a car or do i have to decide/inform them before it...
Last week i noticed there will be a mecum auction in las vegas on october 17-19:
https://www.mecum.com/auctions/las-vegas-2024/
So now i'm toying with the idea of flying to vegas and attending.
(If so mainly as a visitor but i would register as a bidder just in case.)
This would be my first...
I'm using 10W30 from Rektol Classic which probably isn't available in the united states.
But it is conventional (non synthetic) 10W30 with high ZDDP/Zinc.
While i personally would love to see it restored back to factory specifications, this sure sounds like fun car.
If you go that route i would consider getting a schwartz performance or roadster shop chassis built.
And then i would take it on the autobahn (in your case a high speed track) because...
Well since this car sold for about the same amount (anybody know if that is an ls1, ls3 or what?) https://bid.cars/en/lot/0-38753672/1970-Chevrolet-Other-0000136370R206643 i guess you're right.

But this is above my financial abilities anyway.
I think this should be bought and restored by someone in the US (to save shipping and tax for parts) and then maybe shipped around the globe to wash the...
Well i was mainly concerned because of this:
But if you can prove this thing is real it might not be that bad of a buy depending on the final bid.
I'm not an expert but i've heard that if a car burns down the metal softens and the chassis becomes less rigid.
But then:
The picture says no vin and i also can't see a vin in the pictures?
Yes it seems to have a fender tag but can't read anything on it.
Buildsheet probably burned down with the car.
Never meant to imply this was a factory hemi car. I just meant that a hemi engine would be worth more than 440 engine.

Currently sitting at 35550$ with the VIN Missing and NO Hemi under the hood.
I wouldn't bid 35k on this...
Just a heads up.
I just replaced 2 blown fuses in our 72 cutlass that looked great even after pulling them out.
I was already scratching my head what the issue is when someone recommended me testing them with a multimeter continuity test.
Turns out those visually beautiful looking fuses were...
Thanks guys. :)
Not going to celebrate much but went to a nice steakhouse with my dad and barbeque coming up on the weekend with some friends.
