I'm a bit confused because you say right front side of the carb but after some googling i think you mean the thing i marked with a red circle? And if i'm understanding correctly the vaccum line that is connected to that is also connected directly to the carb and i remove it from the carb and...

I will keep using the stock manifold. So what vaccum reading would be good/normal? Also is the port on the carb visible in the picture i attached to the first post?

Well i already found two vaccum leaks (the intake even leaks on both sides) so i don't think that further diagnosis is needed at this point. I mean sure maybe there is even more wrong but i will start with those two leaks. Personally i don't really expect more to be wrong (timing, carb tuning...

Did they use RTV and/or paper gaskets at the factory? What exactly did the factory use/do?
