I just blew the diff apart in My Coronet RT. Looking for a drop in center section with sure grip and either 3:55, 3:73 or 3:91 gears. Only interested in 489 or 742 case. I’m in the Hamilton area of southern Ontario, Canada. The closer the better but I’ll drive up to 3 hours for the right part...
I’m sure this block is nothing special. I was just curious of these numbers because I’ve never seen them before. Seeing that there was no serial or vin had me thinking it might be a warranty block or maybe an over the counter purchase
Just picked up a super clean 77 440 block. It has stock bores with virtually no ridge. The serial number pad is blank and there is an “R5” cast into the front passenger side. Would this be an over the counter or warranty block?
They are but there is also a different baseplate to accommodate that. I have a Six Pack and a 383 baseplate floating around. I might cut the intake funnel off the 383 baseplate and machine a new one out of aluminum that I can bolt or rivet on that will give me the needed clearance for a new...
I’ve got a 69 Coronet RT with Ramcharger hood. I’d like to swap out my stock cast iron intake for a Edelbrock RPM which is 1.7” taller. Does anyone know if that will interfere with the Ramcharger air box. If so, is there a decent aftermarket 2 plane intake out there at the stock height? Thanks
