That arguement won't work in Cleveland, Ohio. As much as I agree with the it. The cops around here have ticketed my family member for driving with a handicap marker on the rearview mirror. Saying it posed a saftey hazard when driving. The rearview mirror is required by state law to be free of...
The American businessmen ruined Chrysler. Ohio alone had over hundred different car manufactures in the early 1900. Most bought or consolidated by the Big 3. Now the businessmen talk about jobs, the same ones they help destroy. Chrysler executives and Daimler had their falling out in 1990's...
Yes I did on my 1970 roadrunner about two years ago. It has a 383 with hooker comp headers. I found it was easy once I mocked it up from the back to the front. Directions say mock it from front to back, However I cannot stand when the pipes are crooked at the back. A lot of marking cutting...
Would you trade even for a 742 case with a 3.91 posi. I will do the drive. I am in Cleveland Ohio. Or do you need any 1970 charger or 1970 roadrunner parts?
Thanks, Phil
Oh yes I agree, I actually checked voltage while the dash was screwed in by making a connection from the upper dash screw to the car frame. I was actually picking up 4 to 5 volts. I do see the different circuits on the back of the dash. The parking illumination comes in the 5 pin plug with...
Thanks Twinscrew698,
I know it has to be the limiter. I ran into these types of problems with an ECU from Autozone, O'Rielly's then Summit racing.
The RTE is actually what I am looking for.
Mopar nationals in five short days.
Thanks Again.
Hello,
I am hoping to have some clarity on the voltage regulator for my 1970 road runner instrument cluster. Recently I tried changing the voltage regulator with two limiters I had in the garage. The fuel gauge read high, Then after the second limiter the fuel and oil pressure read high...
Got everything tighten up on the car and the vibrations are gone, Plus most tranny and engine leaks have stopped. I think now I will probably keep the solid mounts in until I hit the Ohio Lottery and make the old 383 into my new 496 stroker motor. Just need to hit the lotto...
Don't forget there are different no. Splines per yoke fine and coarse. Fine has 35 and coarse has eight i think. The large pinion isn't worth the extra money when it comes down to it. You'll bust a u joint before the pinion gear. Just my two cents. I have two large fine spline yokes if interested.
Thanks for all the input. I have been reading up on the mounts with other threads. It is definitly correct in saying they transfer vibrations. I been going around the car tighting bolts up for a week now. The right side mount was actual figure loose which created a bad vibration at 55+ mph...
Question. I have a 1970 charger and just noticed my motor mounts appear to have no insulators. The mounts appear to be steel where the rubber normally is. Motor sits right but does not rock in the cradle. Can this be some heavy duty after market or am I screwed. My other car all rocked and...
Install a clear fuel filter, or pressure gauge in line after the fuel pump and before the carb. Inspect after running it for a while. See air or erractic pressure and she is vaporizing.
Also inspect the fuel line route and see if it is too close to the block or headers. Shorter the route...
Yes, I agree will all other posts, very hard on the pump and stall converter.

Also, I always over fill my tranny with fluid that way she never runs dry and stops marking her territory with small leakage spots.
