rolling_Thunder, the car's interior was gutted out when I got the car so I don't have the bench.
Pm me if you're looking for anything, I have some random stuff here and there and a few friends that are into Mopars. I go to school at Cal Poly Pomona so I'm close by.
I just looked up those 1"...
Hello all!
I need some help installing my bucket seats into my '69 Coronet. The car originally came with bench seats and I'm planning on installing a pair of Summit brand sport seats. They're actually the same ones used in this article I've been using for reference...
Hello!
I have a few wiring questions. First off, I finally got around to rewiring my Coronet (1969 with a 440 out of a 1979 motorhome) with an EZ Wiring harness and I'm having a few issues. I believe I have all the wires going to (and from) the right places but I'm not getting any spark...
Hello all!
I've got a '69 Coronet that I stuck a 440 from a 1978 motorhome that died on the freeway the other day. The fusible link wire had apparently been chewed on and disconnected as I was on the freeway. Engine started dying slowly so I pulled over where it died completely.
Since...
Hello! I finally got my Coronet on the road and am now in need of a passenger side fender that isn't crunched and out of whack. I'm in the Pomona, CA, attending Cal Poly. Thank you!
Ah! Silly me. Turns out the fuel sending unit is completely plugged up with something. I put a line directly from a gas can with fresh gas to the fuel pump and she ran like a champ. One weird thing is that with the Carter pump I'm only showing 2-3 PSI, whereas with the Airtex I was pulling...
Well, I pulled the pickup a couple weeks ago and it was clean. I also cleaned the inside of the tank out and treated it. The fuel pump push rod also seems straight, as I slide it in and out freely.
I have a 440 from a '79 motorhome with a Eddy Performer 750 carb but for some reason it's not seeing any fuel pressure. The car ran a week or so ago with absolutely no problem and healthy fuel pressure with the stock Thermoquad before it started having the problems it's having now. I thought...
Thanks for the suggestions! I called a local Mopar place and they sell a front rebuild kit for around 300 with rubber bushings. A buddy of mine told me that Just Suspension apparently significantly upped their prices on everything so it's not going to be nearly as expensive as I had initially...
I got my car driving for the first time the other day and other than the crazy amount of play in the steering wheel, the most glaring issue was the front tires screeching as I drove down the road. Some friends of mine were said they saw the front wheels wobbling as I was rolling and the car...
I recently dropped a 440 from a 1979 Sportsman into my 1969 Coronet. I don't know too much about the engine itself as far as internals go but the engine swap itself isn't too bad. Like some members already mentioned, oil pan/pick up and exhaust manifolds are different and will need to be...
