Dan, the plates are original plates from '68, but not original to the car. A couple years ago I went through the process of finding unregistered plates and an unused registration sticker from 1968, then going through the Hell that is the CA DMV to get them registered to my car...
Thanks for the replies. My main issue now isn't a go/no go situation, but I can't seem to find the connector that plugs into the back of the headlight switch. I currently just have the spade connectors plugged individually into the back of the switch. That works fine, I just want to clean it...
Does anyone know where I could find a NOS or reproduction headlight switch connector for a 1968 Charger? I've been able to find almost every part I've needed for this car except this (so far). Thanks for any help you all can offer. (I found a picture online of the connector below)

I'm a long time lurker of this site, and constantly utilizing the tips and tricks that many have posted here. I own a 68 Charger that I've had for 6 years now that runs most of the time, but as usual it has it's hiccups. I can't wait for many more years of great help from you all!
