Yes it will work. You will need MS steering shaft it's longer. They make a adapter shaft also. Just did it on a 62.

Good running 318 wide block and push button tranny. I don't know much about it. Seamed to run good and transmission worked well. Engine and transmission removed from car today. $100.00
