The engine had 23,000 original miles. Came out of a wrecked charger. It was stored for 50 years. It was pulled apart re ringed and honed....The heads were cleaned up and the valves were reseated. Crank was polished and put all back together. That's all the info I have. It's all original down...
Ok so I'm guessing the 284 /484 is not a good choice, that's why I'm here... what do you guys recommend? Power is not really an issue, my car runs good. It just sounds super plain at idle. Thanks to all of you for the input. As far as compression... it pings on 87 but not on 91 or above. Reno...
Hi all, looking for input...i have a bone stock 66 383 that's all rebuilt. 10.1 to 1.. 4bbl auto 355 SG. Im looking for more performance and a nice bump in my idle etc.... I dont race my car it's a cruiser. I've heard the mopar purple shaft 284/484 is the way to go? Thoughts / recommendations...
Thanks for the add! Glad to be here. Currently have a 64 sport fury 383 AT 355SG. Looking for input on 284/484 cams my car has a bone stock 66 383. 10.5 to 1 compression. Stock converter. Thanks for the help.
