As far as the GTX gas cap goes, I had one installed but it seems the currently supplied rubber seals crumble when exposed to gasoline.
Here’s mine……. I just wish you could find tail light lenses for them…I don’t have much hope for reproductions ever happening as it seems most vendors act like they don’t even know the wagons are different
Trying to install Koni front shocks on my 67 Charger. Any tips on getting their supplied upper rubber bushing through the upper mounting hole on the car? Tried glass cleaner and warm soapy water but so far no luck…..
I believe the real reason the original ac pumps had less blades was because the belt pulley ratios on ac cars spun the fan and pump faster than on the non ac vehicles.
If it’s a drum brake car the valve on the car is just a simple pressure differential valve, only function is to turn on dash brake warning light if one side of the system looses fluid.
Received a couple of reproduction seals yesterday, I don’t have a lot of confidence . Thought about soaking one in gas overnight but maybe I’ll just consider this to be a two year supply
I’ve noticed the rubber seal on the setup I received from Mega Parts cracking as well. On one hand I’m thankful they even reproduce them, on the other why make a fuel system part that doesn’t tolerate fuel?
Also while the oil should be drained hot there isn’t really any advantage to removing a hot filter if you’re not in a hurry. Cold filter equals less mess
