Yea. That’s what I was expecting g to have to do. Has to be cut in at least two places. I got an estimate of $5-6k to get it done. Can’t justify it.

If it rolled into a reputable shop they’d say buy a new motor which is what I’d do. I didn’t tell them I needed to keep the current motor. It’s not numbers matching.

It's a punch in the face because it was a fresh engine. Part of me feels like I should just walk away from this money pit.

The motor literally has like 200 miles on it. They were forged. Issue is apparently the head gaskets were toast from who knows why (this thing has sat for years after the motor was installed) and when they drained the oil they got a bunch of metal coming out and coolant.
