    Across the 3rd gen years, 71 and 72 Plymouth b bodys look much better then the 73 and 74's. In my opinion. The 73 and 74 chargers have a nicer looking c pillar design then the 71 and 72 chargers, again my preference.

    That is a comparison of cost to restore. Does not matter the make, model or year. The difference in price is not enough to get the poor condition car in the same shape as the better condition car.

    They are not really expensive cars overall. $30,000 gets you a nice one. Being paint is $15k and a drivetrain rebuild can go to $10k. Getting one in really nice shape is a much better idea.     In my opinion, the factory egineered things to be just strong enough with a little added strength for security. I over build when modifying anything because I dont know how much stress it can actually take. I would not let the weld joints carry the weight if were me. Go in a little deeper.
