    I had the correct washers and spring clips. This is a fairly new build using a kit from Brewers that came with everything so it was together with the correct hardware......although I guess the spring clip wasn't seated all the way otherwise it wouldn't have fallen out.

    yep, when I took the heads off the coolant wasn't completely drained so it dripped into the cylinder.

    Here's a couple picks of the pistons and heads when I pulled the heads a few months ago. Heads have since been checked, cleaned and valves reseated.

    I have a big ol' hole in my hood that the air cleaner stick out through so as to not use the hot under hood air. I do have a 6 pack scoop that will eventually cover the air cleaner hole
