    Thinking about a camshaft upgrade

So, I´m really disappointed in the low end power on my 273. Can´t get it to break traction even on rainy days! Here´s my current recipe: 273 Standard block, bored over 030. Flat head pistons. Weight adjusted pistons and connecting rods. 340 camshaft with hydralic lifters. 340 Valvesprings...

    Magnum/LA exhaust manifolds

Acually, I run Hedmans headers for -67 and up A bodies in my -65 Belvedere II. Works fine.

    Trouble when cruising

Yepp, passenger side, ported vacuum. Seems like everything is running smoothly, I´ll have to check again. No, first I disconnected the vacuum line, it ran better. Then I messed with the timing, it got WAY better. Oh, sweet, I´ll check that tonight or tomorrow. Thanks guys, this is why I love...

    Trouble when cruising

So, I disconnected the Vacuum Advance and plugged the line. Gave it a little more timing, and the stumbling went away. However, now it´s harder to start, and seems like it lacks in power? Thinking that the Vacuum Advance...uhm...thingie on the distrubitor might be the problem?

    Trouble when cruising

Well, discovered this today. When I hold the foot steady on the gas, it kind of...runs rough? No hesitation, good idle, pulls great. Just when I cruise (no matter the speed/rpm), it just runs rough. Tried to adjust the timing, don´t have a timing light, so just by ear. Good vacuum (around 14 at...

    Header tip!

Actually I found that my enginemounts were´nt original. My were about ½" thick, and the new ones about 2". So, with the new mounts in place, the headers cleared just fine, raised the engine an additional 1/4" just to be safe, and the angles are all fine. Got this tip from a buddy of mine, who...

    Header tip!

As some of the regulars might know, I was hunting headers for my -65 Belvedere. Now the headers are installed and ready to go. I used Hedman Headers -67 and up, for A Bodies (Valiants, Darts). The only modifications I did, was that I put in new motormounts, and put ½" of flat iron under the...

Well guys and gals, today I fired the engine for the first time! Here´s a small vid of it. Note that I have´nt adjusted anything. Just TDC, and fired her straight up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyfCf-BAv6A&feature=youtube_gdata_player

    Which electric ignition?

Well, guess You all are going to shoot me now. I bought a china knockoff of the MSD 6AL, with a spool. Payed $100 for the set, with new Accel wires, and a fuel pump (ProComp Holley knockoff). I figured, for that price it can be ****, and I still won´t cry myself to sleep. Now, a...
